Be
a whale watch videographer!
Each summer we hire and train
a few select people to work as contracted whale watch videographers
out of Provincetown, MA and Barnstable, MA aboard the Hyannis Whale Watch.
Using
our equipment you will go out on 2 or 3 whale watch trips per day,
record the entire trip on video, and sell the video of that day's
trip to the whale watch passengers. The work is fun and rewarding
and you can earn good money and gain valuable video and sales skills.
We will train the right people,
but you must:
- Be able to learn videography skills,
including the technical aspects of the cameras.
- Be comfortable with sales. A significant
part of this job (and of your pay) is based on your ability to sell the video of the trip you just recorded to the
whale watch passengers.
- Be reliable and able to work at least
3 days per week all summer until October.
- Be able to find a place to live in
or near Barnstable (for Hyannis boats) or Provincetown, which is not always easy or
affordable, but what a great place to live!
- Enjoy working on boats and with whales!
